Course #1: Self-publishing 101
Traditional publishing is changing and there are many good reasons to self-publish today. Whether you’re an entrepreneur or have a passion project you’ve wanted to publish for years, find out how to make self-publishing work for you—and get you clients, speaking gigs, and profits.

Course #2: Content.Content. Content.
For many would-be authors, getting content on the page and organized is the hardest part of writing a book. This call covers best practices for getting your writing done, including structure, takeaway for the reader, and how to commit to a writing process—or outsource it if you don’t have the time.

Course #3: Nuts & Bolts
Once you’re finished writing, the one-two-three punch of self-publishing is copyedit-design-proofread—and you need a cover. This doesn’t have to be drawn out or too expensive. This call will cover the process and give you a sense of how much you’ll have to spend for a quality finished product.

Course #4: You ARE the Publisher
When you go the traditional publishing route, someone else assigns your book a price, an ISBN, a category, and creates your barcode. When you’re the publisher, you have to do all this yourself. Don’t fret—it’s easy! You’ll leave this call with an easy-to-follow checklist.

Course #5: Final Product
You’re almost to the place where you’ll be holding your book in your hands, but first you have to register with a self-publisher, upload your files, and sign off on a proof. This call covers these final steps plus getting your book on Amazon and setting up your own site with a link so you can start generating sales.

How the Coaching Works

Contact me for a complimentary sample session to get started. Depending on which scenario you fit into and whether you have a complete manuscript or just the seed of an idea for a book, I will support you to achieve your writing goals and to stay on track.

My rate is $240 for four half-hour phone sessions, reading and comments on all submitted homework materials, and unlimited email exchanges.

Editorial Fees

Warner Coaching offers manuscript reads with notes, developmental editing, copyediting, line editing, and proofreading services separate from coaching (and also in conjunction with coaching where both services are desired).
Rate: $40/hour.

Policies

• I offer a complimentary sample half-hour session for all incoming clients. Email me or call me to set up a session.
• All sessions are by phone unless you live in the East Bay and are interested in scheduling one-on-one.
• I require prepayment for the first package of four sessions.
• I require 24 hours’ notice for cancelations.
• I have a strict confidentiality policy. All materials, ideas, and client information always stays within the confines of the one-on-one calls.
